The Daming Palace was the imperial palace complex of the Tang Dynasty, located in its capital Chang'an.
Built in 634 AD, it served as the royal residence for over 220 years until 904 AD.
It is a symbol of the grandeur and prosperity of the Tang Dynasty, reflecting Chinese architectural aesthetics.
Today, it is a national heritage site open to the public as the Daming Palace National Heritage Park.
The palace complex covers an area three times the size of the Forbidden City in Beijing.
