Baotianman National Nature Reserve

Baotianman is a protected nature reserve in Henan Province covering diverse ecosystems including broad-leaved forests, mountains, rivers, and wetlands. The landscape contains specialized forest types and provides habitat for numerous plant and animal species.

The reserve was established in 1993 as part of China's participation in the UNESCO World Network of Biosphere Reserves. This designation reflected growing commitment to protecting the region's forest ecosystems and biodiversity.
