The Hall of Mental Cultivation is a building within the inner court of Beijing's Forbidden City.
Built during the Ming Dynasty, it became the residence and office for eight Qing Dynasty emperors in the 18th century.
It is known for its unique layout with western and eastern sections symbolizing the Yin and Yang.
Today, it is one of the most visited sites in the Forbidden City, attracting millions of tourists each year.
The Hall houses the throne room where the Emperor received high officials and practiced calligraphy.
