Yanxi Palace, Palace in Forbidden City, China
The Palace of Prolonging Happiness is a double-eaved building with carved beams and painted rafters.
Originally built in the Ming Dynasty, it was rebuilt in the Qing Dynasty after being destroyed by fire.
It was used as a residence for imperial concubines and later as a storehouse for ceremonial robes.
Today, it houses the Ceramics Gallery of the Palace Museum.
Its Chinese name, Yanxi gong, was also used as the title for the popular drama 'Story of Yanxi Palace'.
