Lingyan Temple

The temple complex contains numerous stone stupas, wooden halls, and monastic rooms spread across a valley at the edge of mountain ranges.

Founded in 328 AD by Indian monk Huili during the Eastern Jin dynasty, the temple expanded to house over 3,000 monks in its 18 pavilions and 72 halls.

The temple holds regular Buddhist ceremonies and meditation sessions, maintaining traditional practices while serving as an educational center for Buddhist studies.

Visitors can access the temple through guided tours that explain the architectural features and religious significance of different halls and structures.

The temple grounds contain 167 individual stone stupas, each crafted with different designs and maintaining their original structural elements from various periods.
