The Tang clan established this Grade I historic building in the 17th century to provide martial arts education for students preparing for Imperial Civil Service Examinations.
The hall maintains its function as a center for ancestral worship, where members of the Tang clan gather to honor their forebears through ceremonies.
The building opens to visitors during daylight hours and requires advance notice for group visits to ensure preservation of the historical structure.
White stones in the forecourt led to students being called 'Students of White Stone Lane,' creating a distinct identity for those who studied here.
