People's Park is an urban public park at 1 East Renmin Road in central Nanning, a ten-minute walk from Chaoyang Square. Its centrepiece is the 70,000-square-metre White Dragon Lake, with a small island linked to the shore by two bridges. Wangxian Hill, the highest point in downtown Nanning, rises above the park and is reached by 141 stone steps.

White Dragon Lake received its name during the Southern Song dynasty when General Di Qing observed white sheep in the water that resembled a dragon. The name has endured through the centuries and remains part of the location's local history.

The Revolutionary Martyrs Monument in the northeast section is surrounded by pine and cypress trees, creating a contemplative space for visitors. These trees hold special meaning for people who come to remember the past in this location.
