Havránka, Natural monument in Praha-Troja, Czech Republic.
Havránka is a protected natural monument on the right bank of the Vltava River with two separate areas covering about 4.3 hectares in total. One area features former vineyard land, while the other contains a stream valley with springs and grasslands.
The place was recognized as a protected natural monument by Prague in 1982 because of its ecological importance. This protection helped preserve the natural springs and habitats in this area for the future.
The site takes its name from local birds and invites visitors to discover the variety of plants and animals living here. An educational trail with nine stops was created to teach people about the nature found in this place.
You can reach the area from Trojská street near the Kovárna bus stop and then follow Pod Havránkou street toward the main paths. The routes are easy to navigate and lead through both sections of the monument.
The springs in the stream valley once supplied drinking water to Troja Castle through wooden pipes. This old connection shows how important this place has been to people in the area for a long time.
