Protestant church in Kraslice

This evangelical church in Kraslice features a hall church design with a saddle roof connected to a cube-shaped bell tower topped with a tent roof. An attached parsonage sits directly beside the main building, forming a unified church complex.

Designed by architect Otto Bartning, this church was consecrated in July 1912 with financial backing from the Leipzig Gustav-Adolf-Verein organization. The building demonstrates Bartning's pioneering approach to evangelical church design during this period.

The church marks a shift in the local religious community after 1945, when the evangelical congregation reoriented itself. Visitors can sense how the building reflects this change in church affiliation and local faith practices.

The church sits on elevated ground above Kraslice, making it easy to spot from various angles in town. A major renovation took place in 2007, so the interior is well-maintained today.
