Hamburg Stadtpark, Urban park in Winterhude district, Germany
Hamburg Stadtpark spans 148 hectares with meadows, forests, gardens, and a central lake for recreational activities and nature observation.
The park opened in 1914 after the Hamburg Senate purchased Sierich Grove in 1901 to create green spaces during the city's industrialization period.
The Hamburg Planetarium, housed in a converted 64-meter brick water tower from 1914, provides astronomical education and regular shows for visitors.
Visitors can access multiple sports facilities, including an outdoor swimming pool, athletics stadium, playgrounds, and the Hamburg Rugby Club home field.
The park features 22 stone and bronze sculptures, including works by Oscar Troplowitz and Reinhold Begas, displayed throughout its grounds.
