Königshütte Waterfall, Artificial waterfall near Bundesstraße 27, Oberharz am Brocken, Germany.

Königshütte Waterfall is an artificial waterfall near Oberharz am Brocken that drops approximately 12 meters over multiple rock steps. Water flows into the Kalte Bode river and is framed by natural rock faces that give the place a rugged appearance.

This waterfall emerged in 1994 from the transformation of a former stone quarry into a recreational area. That shift marked the location's move from industrial use to a landscape focused on leisure and walking.

The waterfall serves as a popular stopping point along hiking routes through the Harz region and draws visitors who explore the mountain landscape. Its location within established walking networks shapes the place as a gathering spot for people seeking mountain experiences.

A small parking area with a few spaces sits directly along the road, making the waterfall easy to reach. Picnic tables and barbecue facilities are available on site, making the spot good for a brief stop during a walk.

Water volume changes considerably based on the season and rainfall, creating different appearances throughout the year. In winter, ice formations often develop, while in drier periods the flow becomes noticeably weaker.
