Plochingen

Plochingen sits where the Neckar and Fils rivers meet, spreading across the foothills of the Schurwald and Swabian Alb. The town combines river landscape with hilly terrain and features mixed topography with both flat and elevated areas.

The settlement was first recorded in 1146 as Blochingen and grew into a textile manufacturing center during the 1800s. This industrial past shaped the town's development and left marks on its local economy.
