The Hundertwasserhaus features an inner courtyard surrounded by residential units and commercial spaces, characterized by irregular shapes and multicolored surfaces.
Construction of this architectural project commenced in November 1991 and concluded in August 1994, following a successful design competition by Heinz Springmann and Siegfried Kaltenbach.
The design reflects Friedensreich Hundertwasser's architectural philosophy of integrating natural elements with residential spaces through organic forms and abundant plant life.
The building complex encompasses 6,800 square meters of residential area, 5,500 square meters of commercial space, and includes a two-level underground parking facility.
A 33-meter-high Rain Tower, decorated with four golden spheres, stands as the central architectural element of the complex.
