Stavenhagen is a town in Mecklenburgische Seenplatte in northeastern Germany, situated at about 43 meters above sea level. The place spans several kilometers and is home to various industrial facilities including the Aviko Rixona plant and the German headquarters of Netto Supermarkt.
The town was first mentioned in 1230 as Stovenhage and saw severe destruction during the Thirty Years' War. Two major fires in 1727 and 1746 devastated the settlement and reshaped its appearance in the 18th century.
