Bad Boll

Bad Boll is a spa town in the Göppingen district, situated on the foothills of the Swabian Jura. The settlement sprawls across altitudes between 367 and 734 meters and draws its character from natural thermal springs that emerge from the ground.

The town became known in 1595 when thermal springs were discovered and a spa facility opened the following year. This founding moment set the course for its development as a healing resort that continued to grow over the following centuries.

The Evanglische Akademie Bad Boll, established in 1945 as Germany's first Evangelical Academy, hosts exhibitions, lectures, and community gatherings throughout the year.

The bathing facilities offer sports pools, sunbathing areas, volleyball courts, and modern changing rooms for all ages. When planning a visit, keep in mind that the town spreads across different elevations, which means various activities are available depending on the season.

The Teufelsloch-Kaltenwang nature reserve borders the municipality and contains unusual geological formations along with diverse plant life. This area invites visitors to explore the wider landscape beyond the spa amenities.
