Sanssouci Palace, Rococo palace in Potsdam, Germany.

The palace contains ten principal rooms on a single floor, featuring ornate decorations, gilded surfaces, and large windows overlooking terraced vineyards.

Frederick the Great commissioned architect Georg Wenzeslaus von Knobelsdorff to design this summer residence, which was constructed between 1745 and 1747.

The palace represents the Frederician Rococo style through its architectural elements, detailed ornaments, and integration with surrounding landscape gardens.

The palace opens from April to October between 9:00 AM and 5:30 PM, while winter hours run from November to May between 9:00 AM and 4:30 PM.

The remains of Frederick the Great rest on the uppermost terrace of the vineyard, fulfilling his final wish after being reinterred there in 1991.
