The Wingster Waldzoo spans 5 hectares at the edge of Wingster Forest, featuring exhibits of forest animals including monkeys, bears, wolves, and dwarf otters.
Founded in 1972 as a sanctuary for young animals, the zoo underwent substantial changes in 2022 to concentrate on displaying forest-dwelling species from different continents.
The zoo provides educational programs where visitors learn about wildlife conservation through guided tours and interactive experiences with capuchin monkeys and alpacas.
The facility maintains daily operations from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, offering wagon rentals, free parking, accessible paths, and a snack bar for visitor convenience.
Visitors participate in an escape game following Katta Kattarina, solving puzzles throughout the zoo to find her hidden favorite food.
