Auer Dult

Auer Dult is a traditional market in the Au neighborhood of Munich where vendors set up stalls across a large grounds. You will find antiques, household goods, toys, clothing, and fairground rides spread throughout.

In 1796, the local ruler granted the Au neighborhood the right to hold a market, recognizing the need for trade in this working-class district. The practice became regular in 1905 when it transformed into three annual events that continue today.

The name 'Dult' comes from a local Bavarian word for festival market that people have used here for centuries. The way buyers and sellers interact still reflects a direct, friendly tone that feels rooted in this part of Munich.

The market is located at Mariahilfplatz and is easily accessible by public transit, with trams and underground trains serving the area directly. Arriving early in the day helps you move around more comfortably and see the offerings more clearly.
