Berlin-Tegel Russian Orthodox Cemetery, Russian Orthodox cemetery in Tegel, Germany.
The cemetery spans two acres and features numerous tombstones adorned with Orthodox crosses and traditional Russian architectural elements within its grounds.
Founded in 1893, the cemetery received four thousand tons of earth from Russia, sent by Tsar Alexander III for burying Russian deceased on native soil.
The cemetery church of St Constantine and St Helena, constructed in 1894, represents the first Russian Orthodox church built in Germany with its own burial ground.
The burial ground is located at Wittestraße 37 in the Reinickendorf district, containing graves of Soviet soldiers and children of forced laborers from World War II.
The carved gateway houses nine cemetery bells, while the cupolas display Orthodox crosses combined with small crescent moons referencing historical religious conflicts.
