Neuhausen-Nymphenburg, Residential borough in Munich, Germany

Neuhausen-Nymphenburg is a borough of Munich combining two historically separate areas into one residential district. The neighborhood features tree-lined streets, apartment buildings from different eras, and several public squares that serve as gathering points for locals.

Both areas were incorporated into Munich during the 1890s and grew as separate residential quarters over several decades. The administrative merger combining them officially took place in 1992, creating the current unified district.

The Nymphenburg Porcelain Manufactory, established in 1747, continues its production of fine porcelain within the district, maintaining traditional crafting methods.

The Rotkreuzplatz serves as the main hub where a weekly market brings fresh goods and the surrounding cafés offer places to sit and observe local life. Public transport connections make it easy to move around the district and to other parts of the city.

The Hirschgarten is one of the largest beer gardens in the city, accommodating thousands of people on warm days with open-air tables and a relaxed atmosphere. Its central location within the borough makes it a gathering spot that reflects local social habits.
