Langwasser is a residential neighborhood in southeastern Nuremberg featuring modern apartment buildings mixed with abundant parks and green areas. The district sits at about 336 meters elevation and provides local shops, schools, and recreational facilities for daily living.
The area housed a World War II prisoner camp called Stalag XIII-D during the conflict. After the war ended, it was developed into a planned residential community beginning in the 1960s.
