Schöntal Abbey, Former Cistercian abbey in Schöntal, Germany.

The monastery complex includes multiple farm buildings, entrance gates, gardens, and a Baroque chapel within its cemetery grounds.

Wolfram von Bebenburg established the monastery in 1153 at Neusass before relocating it between 1157 and 1163 to its current location.

The monastic buildings display northern Württemberg Baroque architecture, designed by Leonhard Dientzenhofer and completed by Johann Balthasar Neumann.

The Catholic Diocese of Rottenburg-Stuttgart operates the abbey as a conference center, retreat location, and educational facility.

Medieval knight Götz von Berlichingen, who became a resistance symbol during the German Peasants War, rests in the east wing cloister.
