Weißes Schloss Jagsthausen

Weißes Schloss Jagsthausen, Noble residence in Jagsthausen, Germany

The Weisses Schloss Jagsthausen is a two-story manor house with a central dome and numerous windows in Baroque style. The building displays the hallmarks of late Baroque design with its symmetrical forms and decorative details.

Count Joseph von Berlichingen commissioned the manor house in 1792, making it the youngest of Jagsthausen's three castles. Around 1900 it was substantially redesigned, acquiring its current Neo-Baroque appearance.

The castle served as a family seat for local nobility and remains privately owned as a residence. The way the building stands and its architectural style show how wealthy families in the region used architecture to display their status.

The exterior can be viewed from Red Castle park, as the manor house is not open to visitors inside. The best views of the facade are from the park side, where walking paths are also available.

The manor house was built only in 1792, making it noticeably younger than the other two castles in Jagsthausen. This fact often surprises visitors who typically expect older structures in such a setting.
