Schloss Fronberg, Medieval château in Schwandorf, Germany
Schloss Fronberg features a horseshoe-shaped layout with a main wing, corner towers, and a rectangular chapel designed by Pietro Spineta.
The château, established in 1305 as a fief under the Herren von Fronberg, underwent reconstructions following fires in 1504 and 1594.
The chapel in the east wing includes a sunken vaulted choir area and maintains religious services for the local community.
Visitors can find the château at Schlosspark 1 in Schwandorf-Fronberg, where regular concerts and medieval performances take place throughout the year.
The Renaissance arcaded loggia in the forward courtyard, built between 1622 and 1638, represents the architectural evolution of this Bavarian monument.
