Adenauervilla, Architectural ruin in Duppach, Germany

The incomplete three-story structure with 600 square meters of living space stands within the Kammerwald forest at 605 meters elevation.

Construction began in 1955 as a private residence for Chancellor Konrad Adenauer but halted in 1956 due to corruption allegations.

The structure earned the nickname Camp Konrad in reference to the United States presidential retreat Camp David in Maryland.

The deteriorating building remains can be accessed through forest paths from the K52 road near Duppach in the Vulkaneifel region.

The original plans included a nuclear bomb shelter in the basement and a helicopter landing pad on the concrete flat roof.
