Museum Five Continents, Ethnographic museum in Lehel district, Munich, Germany

The Museum Five Continents spans 4,500 square meters across multiple levels, displaying over 200,000 objects from different regions of the world.

Founded in 1862 as the Royal Ethnographic Collection, the museum building was designed by Eduard Riedel in the Maximilianstil architectural style.

The museum holds collections from Africa, Asia, Americas, and Oceania, including ceremonial masks, traditional clothing, tools, and religious artifacts.

Located at Maximilianstraße 42, the museum opens Tuesday through Sunday from 09:30 to 17:30 and maintains full wheelchair accessibility throughout the building.

The collection includes the oldest preserved North American kayak and features head trophies from Brazil alongside deities from India.
