Treptowers, Office skyscraper in Alt-Treptow, Germany.
Treptowers is an office complex on the Spree River in Alt-Treptow with 32 floors rising to 125 meters high. The steel and glass facade comprises four separate buildings that were developed through an architectural competition.
The complex was built in 1998 on the site of a former AEG electrical appliance factory that operated from 1926 to 1995. The area was transformed from industrial manufacturing to a modern office location along the river following its completion.
The building sits next to the Molecule Men sculpture in the river and shapes the character of this stretch of the waterfront. Its modern profile creates a striking contrast with the older industrial landmarks nearby.
The building is easily visible from outside and can be viewed from the Spree riverbank, especially from the nearby promenade. The location is accessible by public transport and sits among other attractions along the river.
The building reaches the same height as Park Inn Berlin and offers views from its upper floors across the Spree and surrounding area. Few visitors realize this vantage point provides a quieter alternative to more well-known viewpoints in the city.
