Scheeßel

Scheeßel is a municipality in the Rotenburg district of Lower Saxony, located between Bremen and Hamburg. The area sits about 100 feet (30 meters) above sea level and comprises several small villages and rural areas.

The settlement was originally known as Skaesla and first appeared in written records in 805. This early documentation shows the area's long connection to regional history.

The Hurricane Festival takes place on the Eichenring motorcycle speedway grounds every summer and draws music fans from across the region. This event has become an important gathering point for the local community.

The area is well connected, with two airports nearby: Bremen and Hamburg are each about 50 kilometers away. Visitors will find good road connections to larger cities in the region.
