Moormerland

Moormerland is a municipality in Leer District, Lower Saxony, composed of eleven separate villages spread across a flat landscape. The area sits in northwestern Germany's low-lying terrain, shaped by marshlands and waterways.

Moormerland was formed in 1973 through the merger of eleven independent municipalities into a single administrative body. This consolidation reshaped the local governance structure and created one unified community.
