St. Jacobi, Brick Gothic church in Greifswald, Germany
The St. Jacobi Church features eight rounded pillars and three naves, with colored choir windows illuminating the interior worship space.
Built during the second half of the 13th century, the church transformed from a two-nave hall to a three-nave structure around 1400.
The church contains a granite baptismal font from the 13th century and a Gothic communion chalice used during special religious ceremonies.
The church received modern updates between 1979 and 1982, including heating installation and oak flooring replacing the original wooden benches.
During the French occupation period, the building served temporarily as a field bakery while maintaining its structural integrity.
