Hainich National Park, National park and UNESCO World Heritage Site in Thuringia, Germany.

The largest continuous deciduous forest in Germany spans 75 square kilometers between Eisenach, Mühlhausen, and Bad Langensalza, featuring ancient beech trees.

The establishment of Hainich National Park in December 1997 marked the transformation of former military training grounds into Germany's thirteenth national park.

The National Park Centre Thiemsburg provides educational programs about forest ecology, conservation practices, and environmental awareness through guided tours and exhibitions.

Visitors can explore the forest canopy through an elevated walkway system that connects multiple tree platforms, offering perspectives from different heights.

The park contains over 1,600 documented fungi species and houses 15 bat species within its untouched beech forest ecosystem.
