Zentralgebäude, University building in Lüneburg, Germany
The Zentralgebäude rises 38 meters high with angular walls, featuring a concrete structure and glass panels that create geometric patterns across its exterior surface.
The building opened in 2017 on former military barracks land, marking a transformation from a military past to an educational center for Leuphana University.
The Libeskind auditorium inside the building contains 730 seats with golden-striped walls and red seats, serving as a venue for academic and cultural events.
The structure includes seven floors of educational spaces, featuring a 2000-square-meter event area, multiple seminar rooms, and the main university foyer.
The building incorporates a passive cooling system through its sun-inclined façade and controllable glazing, reducing energy consumption during summer months.
