Pullach station, Railway station in Pullach, Germany
Pullach station is a through station near Munich with two platform tracks positioned between Federal Highway 11 and the Isar River valley. The facility sits on the Isar Valley Railway line and receives daily service from S7 trains.
The Isar Valley Railway opened this station in 1891 as part of regional railway expansion in southern Bavaria. The line was electrified in 1900, enabling faster connections from Pullach to Munich.
The station building displays Neo-Renaissance features with its plastered walls and exposed brick detailing, typical of railway architecture from that period. The two attached pavilions shape the building's character and showcase craftsmanship that visitors notice when arriving at the platform.
The station is accessible via the S7 commuter rail line, which stops regularly during daytime hours and connects to nearby stations. The location sits on the slope of the Isar valley, so visitors should be prepared for uneven terrain around the platforms.
The municipality of Pullach acquired the historic station building as municipal property to preserve its original single-story design with the distinctive two-story side pavilions. This step granted it protected status as a Bavarian architectural monument.
