The castle functions as an educational center certified by the Bavarian Youth Council, offering specialized programs focused on environmental education and youth development.
The facility contains eleven seminar rooms, accommodations for 130 guests, multiple outdoor spaces, and maintains accessibility features for visitors with mobility requirements.
Between 2015 and 2017, Burg Schwaneck transformed into temporary housing for unaccompanied refugee minors before returning to its role as a youth hostel.
