The establishment of B-flat in 1995 by musicians Jannis and Thanassis Zotos, along with actor André Hennecke, marked the beginning of this Berlin jazz institution.

The venue has hosted performances by numerous celebrated musicians, including Brad Mehldau, Joe Sample, Harry Connick Jr., and Mikis Theodorakis.
