Radisson Blu Hotel Hamburg, Modernist hotel and architectural monument in St. Pauli, Germany
The 108-meter Radisson Blu Hotel Hamburg rises 32 floors above the ground with a distinct geometric structure and contemporary design elements throughout the building.
The building, designed by architects Jost Schramm and Gerd Pempelfort, opened in 1973 as Loews Hamburg Plaza before undergoing several management and name changes.
The structure represents German modern architecture of the 1970s and stands as a recognized architectural heritage monument in the Hamburg cityscape.
The hotel contains 556 rooms, eight elevators, and 2,122 square meters of conference space spread across 12 meeting rooms on a dedicated floor.
Located next to Congress Center Hamburg and Planten un Blomen park, the building served as a filming location for the final episodes of ZDF series Timm Thaler.
