Schlachtensee

Schlachtensee spans 42 hectares with a maximum depth of 8.5 meters and features a continuous 7-kilometer boardwalk around its perimeter.

The lake emerged from glacial activity approximately 15,000 years ago, forming a natural trough that became integrated into Berlin's landscape in 1920.

The Fischerhütte, a protected guesthouse on the east bank, functions as a social gathering point with its beer garden and outdoor dining area.

The lake maintains excellent water quality standards and provides designated areas for swimming, boating rentals, and fishing throughout the warmer seasons.

Paul Ernst Park extends along the southern shore, presenting a peninsula and landscaped grounds adjacent to the S-Bahn station.
