Botanika, Botanical garden and natural history museum in Horn-Lehe, Germany.
Botanika is a botanical garden and natural history museum in Bremen that displays plants from different climate zones in greenhouses and outdoor gardens. The site combines open green spaces with large glass houses where tropical and subtropical species grow.
This place began in 2003 as an expansion of the Rhododendron Park with new greenhouses for tropical plants. An educational center was added in 2011 to provide visitors with more information about plant habitats.
Visitors come here to see tropical plants up close and learn about their natural habitats in a hands-on way. The indoor houses and garden areas show how different climate zones work and what grows in each one.
The visit works well on weekdays when it is less crowded, or on weekends when there is more time to explore. The grounds are flat and easy to navigate, with wide paths between the houses and gardens.
Many visitors do not know that the site is part of the larger Rhododendron Park and that different seasons show different colors and blooms. In spring the rhododendrons flower in full display, which transforms the entire grounds.
