From 1977 to 1999, the building served as Switzerland's diplomatic mission while Bonn functioned as the capital of West Germany. After this period ended, the structure ceased to serve its original purpose as an embassy.
The building reflects Swiss architectural principles through its rectangular forms, clean lines, and incorporation of natural light through strategically placed windows.
The building is located on Gotenstraße 156 in Bad Godesberg, roughly five kilometers southwest of central Bonn. Since the original embassy function has ended, it is no longer open to the public today.
