The Stadtfriedhof Ricklingen extends over 54 hectares with tree-lined paths, water features, and approximately 30,000 burial sites throughout the grounds.
Established in 1908 as the main cemetery for the city of Linden, this site expanded due to population growth from industrialization in the late 19th century.
The cemetery includes memorial graves of notable figures such as Dr. Kurt Schumacher and August Holweg, along with victims of the Nazi regime.
Visitors can access detailed maps and information in PDF format, while the on-site chapel serves as a central location for various ceremonies.
The Green Prayer Room provides a dedicated space for reflection, incorporating both religious and secular elements within the cemetery grounds.
