Burg Lichteneck, Medieval castle ruin in Ingelfingen, Germany.
The stone remains of Burg Lichteneck contain sections of ring walls with windows, parts of shield walls, and foundations of a round main tower.
Kraft von Krautheim-Boxberg established the castle in 1250, which later transferred to the Hohenlohe family around 1400 through various ownership changes.
The castle structure displays medieval defensive architecture with its bergfried, palas residential building, and a complex system of protective walls and moats.
The castle grounds include wooden benches for visitors, while the remaining east side walls provide clear views of architectural elements from both interior and exterior.
During excavations, researchers discovered foundations indicating the original bergfried tower exceeded 20 meters in height and connected directly to the shield wall.
