Burg Haynsburg

Burg Haynsburg is a circular fortification tower in Wetterzeube that rises prominently above the surrounding landscape. The structure features thick walls made of sandstone and contains an interior space that once served as a chapel.

The tower was first mentioned in written records in 1185, when a nobleman named Conradus controlled the fortress. Over the centuries, the structure went through different phases of use and transformation.
