Bärstadt, District in Schlangenbad, Germany.

Bärstadt is a district of Schlangenbad located in the Rheingau-Taunus region of Hesse and sits at an elevation of roughly 400 meters. The settlement spans several square kilometers and forms its own administrative area within the larger municipality.

The settlement was first documented in 1194 as Berstad and served as the judicial center for roughly 15 surrounding villages in the Einrich region. This central role as an administrative seat shaped the community for centuries.

The Martin's Church with its Romanesque elements shapes the village landscape and houses a bell from the 12th century that belongs to the oldest heritage of the community. This ancient bell speaks to the long connection between people and this church.

The settlement is easy to reach and has local amenities including sports clubs with soccer and cycling programs, as well as gymnastics and shooting associations. These organizations serve as active gathering places for residents and visitors.

In 1954, the village served as a filming location for 'Die Goldene Pest', a film about a German soldier returning from America. These production activities left their mark on local history and memory.
