Bürgerpark, Cultural heritage park near central station in Bremerhaven, Germany.
The 64-hectare park contains natural woodlands, meadows, designed garden areas, and walking paths spreading behind the main train station.
The Geestemünder Forest Association established the park in 1908, following the vision of educator Johann Ganten and other citizens for an urban recreation space.
Multiple sculptures and monuments decorate the western section of the park, including a fountain installation created in 1983.
The park features tennis courts, roller skating rinks, boat rentals for the pond, and designated grilling areas for public use.
The former forest tavern in the park served as an Officers Club for American forces after World War II.
