Burgwall Feldberg, Archaeological hillfort in Feldberger Seenlandschaft, Germany.
The fortress consists of an outer and main structure positioned on Schlossberg, rising 36 meters above the Breiten Luzin Lake in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
Archaeological excavations in 1967 revealed the fortress served as a settlement for the Wilzi tribe between the 7th and 9th centuries, accommodating approximately 1000 inhabitants.
The ceramics discovered at this archaeological site established a classification standard known as Feldberger Type, contributing to the study of Slavic settlements.
The site contains visible earth walls with two gates and elevated plateau structures, allowing visitors to explore the defensive engineering of early medieval settlements.
The outer fortress maintains its original protective earth wall system, while the main fortress relied solely on wooden palisades for defense.
