Lausitz Velodrom Cottbus, Multi-purpose velodrome in Cottbus, Germany

Radstadion Cottbus is a multi-purpose velodrome featuring a 333-meter cement track built for cycling competitions. The venue has seating for around 1,925 spectators, with additional standing capacity for approximately 1,326 people.

The velodrome opened in 1987, bringing modern cycling facilities to eastern Germany. Since then, it has hosted many national and international championship events.

This facility serves as a hub for cycling training, where local schools and sports clubs hold regular sessions for young athletes of all levels. The space brings together riders from the community who gather to improve their skills.

The facility provides lockable changing rooms for athletes and a separate warm-up track for practice sessions. An underground tunnel system allows clear separation between spectator areas and the racing surface during events.

The athlete area sits below the track level by 1.80 meters, creating efficient use of space. This design also gives spectators clear sightlines to watch competitors preparing for their races.
