Urberach

Urberach is a district of Rödermark covering roughly 12 square kilometers at an elevation of about 152 meters (500 feet). The area south of Offenbach combines residential neighborhoods with open green spaces and older village structures.

First recorded in 1275 as Orbruch, the settlement came under the control of the Mainz electorate during the Late Middle Ages. This period of ecclesiastical rule shaped its development until it merged with Rödermark in 1977.

The Catholic church of St. Gallus and local pottery traditions have shaped community identity for centuries. These crafts remain woven into the visual symbols and memories of the place.

The Dreieichbahn railway line has connected the area to Frankfurt and surrounding towns since 1905. The nearest airport is roughly 25 kilometers away and accessible through the existing transport network.

Pottery production was once so central to local life that it remains symbolized in the village coat of arms today. This deep connection to ceramic craftsmanship sets the place apart from many other districts in the region.
