Castillo de Simmern

Castillo de Simmern is a castle in Rhineland-Palatinate that combines medieval and Baroque architecture. The stone walls show features from different periods, with reinforced fortifications from the founding era and refined facades added during the 18th century.

The castle was founded in 1311 and originally served as a fortified structure. A major transformation in 1708 fundamentally changed its appearance and gave it Baroque elegance.
