Dreifaltigkeitskirche

The church stretches 32 meters along the Elzbach River, constructed with local unprocessed stone and featuring a prominent western bell tower.

Construction of the church began in 1460 as part of a collegiate foundation, serving the religious needs of the Monreal community.

The interior houses Gothic elements including a sacrament house from 1460 decorated with sculptures of twelve apostles and rich architectural details.

Visitors can access the church daily through the entrance under the tower, which leads to a single-nave structure with a five-sided closed choir.

The vault ribs inside the church rest on consoles that display carved faces, while the choir's net vault presents the Lords of Virneburg coat of arms.
