Industriemuseum Brandenburg

The Industriemuseum Brandenburg is a museum housed in a former steel and rolling mill that displays machinery, tools, and objects from industrial production. The exhibitions trace the different stages of manufacturing and document the craft and technical changes that occurred over time.

The factory that houses the museum was founded in 1914 and grew into an important production center. It closed in 1993 and was later converted to preserve the history of steel manufacturing in the region.

The place carries the name of an industrial past that remains visible in its spaces today. Visitors can see how work and production shaped the everyday life of the region for generations.

The building is easy to reach on foot and comfortable shoes are recommended for longer visits. The exhibitions are spread across multiple levels, so it is wise to allow enough time to explore everything at a leisurely pace.

The museum preserves one of Europe's last remaining Siemens-Martin furnaces, showing how steel was once produced. This impressive blast furnace forms the centerpiece of the steel production exhibition.
